About Valuesly

Real prices from real sales. We analyze completed marketplace transactions so you know what your electronics are actually worth.

What We Do

Valuesly tells you what your used electronics are actually worth — not what someone hopes to sell them for, but what buyers are really paying. We analyze completed sales across major online marketplaces and crunch the numbers so you can buy and sell with confidence.

How We Calculate Values

Every valuation on Valuesly is based on real transaction data. We never use asking prices or unsold listings because those don't reflect what people actually pay.

1

Collect

We gather completed sale prices from major marketplaces daily, focusing only on items that actually sold.

2

Normalize

Each listing is matched to a specific product and condition grade. Outliers like bulk lots or mislabeled items are removed.

3

Calculate

We compute median, average, and range for each product and condition. The median is our primary value — it resists outliers better.

Our data updates daily, so you're always seeing prices based on recent market activity, not stale numbers from months ago.

Our Data Sources

We analyze completed sales data from major online marketplaces to calculate fair market values. By pulling from multiple sources, we get a broader picture of what buyers are actually paying — across different platforms, regions, and seller types.

What Conditions Mean

We group sales into four condition tiers:

Mint

Like new or barely used. No visible scratches, scuffs, or wear. Original accessories typically included. Includes items listed as "new," "like new," or "mint."

Good

Fully functional with minor cosmetic wear. May have light scratches on the screen or body. This is the most common condition for used electronics.

Fair

Works properly but shows noticeable wear. Visible scratches, scuffs, or small dents. Screen may have minor blemishes. May be missing accessories.

Poor

Functional but with significant cosmetic damage. Cracked screens, heavy scratching, or dents. Sold "as-is" with no accessories expected.

Confidence Scores

Each valuation includes a confidence score from 0 to 100. This tells you how reliable the estimate is. A higher score means more data points and less price variance. We consider confidence "high" at 70+, "medium" from 40-69, and "low" below 40. Low-confidence valuations typically mean we have fewer recent sales to work with — the price could be less accurate.
